Plantera Bulb
'Bulbs are very easty to spot, as they emit a faint pink light. They will also be labeled 'Plantera's Bulb' if you hover over it on the map screen,. To summon one you need to find a pink flower bulb known as the Plantera's Bulb. There is no limit to the number of bulbs in a world; after all if all of them have been destroyed more will spawn.

Contents.Spawn conditions Does it spawn randomly anywhere there's jungle grass, overwritting preexisting vegetation? Or do you need to keep weeding out these plants to make room for the bulb? —Preceding comment added by (.
) at 13:51, 3 November 2013 I have found that you need to keep weeding. One can increase the chances for bulbs by making long horizontal 4-high shafts, and periodically checking and weeding. 22:06, 9 November 2013 (UTC) Plantera's Bulb overwrites jungle grass, jungle tall grass, jungle plants, and Life Fruit. There is no need to weed. Information taken from source code.
16:30, 27 June 2015 (UTC) Appearing on map The article seems to imply that bulb marks appear on the minimap automatically, without the player having to actually re-discover them. Is this correct? - 16:37, 9 August 2014 (UTC)That's correct, at least as fas as I can remember my last play session, which was two months ago.- 17:25, 9 August 2014 (UTC) Bulb not spawning Has anyone found a workaround for the bug that causes a plantera bulb to not spawn on some worlds? (Apart from making an entirely new world of course) 17:01, 15 November 2014 (UTC)I had an issue with a particular world that I was only playing in singleplayer.
For some reason tile dynamics got stuck. Water didn't flow during the game (it was only settled as part of the world loading process), grass didn't spread. Corruption and hallow probably also didn't. I defeated all the necessary bosses and waited for a few days, but plantera's bulb didn't spawn. Wurm unlimited spawn items. Then I tried loading this world with a dedicated server, force-settling the liquids, and exiting. That fixed all of the above and the first bulb appeared almost immediately. 06:32, 9 August 2015 (UTC) Bug I found a bug; Using the Clentaminator in the jungle and converting the blocks underneath the bulb to Mushroom Grass causes the Plantera to spawn without destroying the bulb, but the bulb afterwards will not spawn Plantera again if broken.
Tested on Multiplayer only. 14:45, 31 December 2014 (UTC)Plantera killed in world where 2 mech bosses were not? I just killed (no idea how I did it but I got the scare of my life) Plantera in a world that I am very much certain only had the Destroyer beat. I even had the twins pop up just after Plantera and I wasn't able to get the to half their health before they got me. Is this because the world is old (I have no idea when I created it, been copy/pasta-ed a lot) or it's a bug that everyone is aware of except me?
—Preceding comment added by at 02:32, 25 January 2016 Properly an older world. Before the 1.2.3 update those bulbs did spawn having only 1 mech boss defeated, so those would properly still be around if you have an older world. 23:59, 26 January 2016 (UTC) Can's Find it? In my world, I have entered hardmode, beat the destroyer, the twins, and skeletron prime. However, searching my entire jungle I never found the bulb.
Not only this, but I never hear the words: 'The Jungle Grows Restless'. Here is a background of what I've done:-Beat the destroyer-Went to underground jungle to search-Gathered supplies-Fought skeletron prime and the twins at once-Beat them-Went searching again, nothing.(I'm on console!) 22:47, 3 November 2016 (UTC)Spawning depth? I just realised the page didn't specified any depth for the bulbs to spawn.
I have the intuition it's in Caverns and maybe Subterrain, but not Surface. Anyone is informed about that? I'd be grateful!PS: I can't fill Gamepedia's registration form, for unknown reasons, and it's really annoying to me. It's a real barrier for people to become contributors.- ScalSaver ( 15:43, 6 February 2018 (UTC))Plantera spawn after teleporting? I destroyed a bulb and then teleported to my arena with a teleporter. It said Plantera awoken but it never came. I teleported right after destroying the Bulb to 78 Underground in the jungle where my arena is.
Any ideas why? I play on PC Version 1.3.5.3. 04:41, 16 June 2019 (UTC)TheProgrammer7It seems like it despawned. If your arena was far from where the bulb was broken, Plantera wouldn't have time to react to the player's position change and would just despawn because it's out of range.
In cases like that it's best to just lead it to the arena instead. 11:31, 16 June 2019 (UTC) Plantera's Bulb spawned on-screen? , apparently a Plantera's Bulb spawned on the left side of his screen after about an hour of searching for one.
